The Role

Our Marketing team is transforming and as part of our continued development we are looking for a Content Manager – Marketing, reporting to our Senior Marketing Manager. The role requires a creative and curious content creator who can conceptualise and produce fresh and always-evolving content through a range of formats and channels.

The role operates as part of a forward-thinking, integrated marketing team working together on a shared vision of unlocking MuchBetter’s distinctive brand and business value via distinctive and impactful marketing activities that achieve measurable results, with commercially-sound return-on-investment (ROI).

The role is a full time role, based in our Isle of Man office.

Core Responsibilities

  • Research and understand the MuchBetter brand, audiences, and insights that underpin our business and marketing strategies.
  • Map audiences to our key strategic topics and themes, narratives and propositions for B2B and B2C.
  • Create, own and execute a winning content strategy aligned with our short and long-term marketing goals.
  • Lead our copywriting and storytelling efforts to produce original content, as well as editing, proofreading.
  • Author and produce sales guides, event guides, internal communications, as well as marketing communications materials
  • Develop and own the content calendar across B2B and B2C, working closely with digital marketing and social media on advanced planning and execution of content.
  • Scrutinise and improve the execution of our content for B2B presentation decks, collateral, and sales materials, offering proactive solutions to improve content and formats for better use by the frontline.
  • Be the champion of our brand narrative and tone-of-voice ensuring that our we are consistently executing our brand throughout content and channels.
  • Monitor performance of content, and driving corrective action to improve the content and formats.
  • Work with designers, marketing managers, sales teams and agencies to plan and develop content strategies and execution.
  • Stay current with trends and fresh ideas to better engage and sustain audience attention and storytelling.
  • Be the voice of the brand, representing the brand and business values.
  • Collaborate with the digital and social media manager to identify proactive and reactive content opportunities.

Experience and Competencies

  • Demonstrable experience as a content manager for B2B and B2C, including 3-5 years copywriting experience for a mix of commercial, editorial, marketing communications, and digital formats.
  • Exceptional creativity and writing skills.
  • Experience in producing and working in multiple formats across offline and online.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to articulate complex points of view simply and rationally.
  • Proven ability to create strong, meaningful and long-lasting relationships
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Can work under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn; enthusiasm is a must
  • A team player who can collaborate across functions
  • Fluency in English, and other languages highly regarded
