The Role:

The Business Platform Implementation Manager plays a pivotal role across the entire project lifecycle, with a primary focus on the new Business-to-Business (B2B) side of the business. This role encompasses a blend of responsibilities, including evaluating and interpreting business needs, coordinating efforts across multiple teams, and guiding the implementation and expansion of our new bank-grade technology platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the incorporation of new B2B products and lines of business into our existing operations and overseeing the implementation necessary to host new prospects on the platform.

A key aspect of this role is engaging directly with clients, gathering and interpreting their requirements, and ensuring their expectations are met throughout the project. The Business Platform Implementation Manager will oversee the project management of each build, acting as a liaison between internal teams, third party delivery partners and customers. The manager will ensure that all client needs are clearly understood, documented, and incorporated into the build, while maintaining regular communication with customers to update them on progress and address any concerns.

Collaboration with multiple third parties and cross-functional teams is key, ensuring that all solutions are delivered seamlessly and align with our strategic objectives. In this role, the Implementation Manager will also engage in tasks that require critical analysis and careful orchestration of various project elements to drive success from inception to completion.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead and coordinate efforts across the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and discovery through to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Readiness, and Go-Live, in close collaboration with a third-party delivery partner.
  • Drive the expansion and enhancement of our bank-grade technology platform to support the new B2B product line and any new hosting arrangements, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business.
  • Manage the integration of the new product line into our existing operations, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with overall business goals, while coordinating with the third-party delivery partner as necessary.
  • Work closely with internal legal teams to deliver the required contractual agreements for the new product line and hosting arrangement, ensuring all legal and compliance requirements are met while also addressing client expectations and satisfaction.
  • Oversee the onboarding new prospects within new arrangements, ensuring a seamless experience for clients, addressing their needs throughout the process, and working to ensure their long-term success with the platform.

Sales to Implementation Involvement:

  • Engage from the Sales Phase: Actively participate in the sales process, working closely with commercial teams to understand client requirements and ensure the proposed solutions align with both client expectations and the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, working with delivery partners to translate these into actionable project plans and detailed specifications that will guide the implementation process.
  • Project Coordination: Manage the end-to-end implementation process, coordinating efforts between sales, technical teams, third-party delivery partners, and the client. Ensure that all deliverables are met on time, within scope, and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Client Onboarding and Integration: Oversee the seamless onboarding of new clients onto the hosted platform, ensuring that all integrations are executed smoothly and that the client’s systems are fully operational.
  • Ongoing Support and Optimisation: Post-implementation, continue to collaborate with clients to provide ongoing support, optimise their use of the hosting solution, and identify opportunities for further enhancements or expansions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle and beyond. Ensure that their needs are continuously met and that they are satisfied with the hosting solution provided.

Business Development and Discovery:

  • Participate in the Discovery phase for new clients, helping to identify requirements and shape the project scope.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to identify and assess new market opportunities, providing insights based on project outcomes and client needs.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic business proposals and solutions for potential new clients.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, external third-party vendors, and clients to ensure alignment across all phases of the project.
  • Function as a key liaison between the new line of business and the existing business operations, particularly during UAT and Operational Readiness phases.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in Business Analysis and Project Management roles, preferably with a focus on complex technology implementations.
  • Strong background in managing projects across the full lifecycle, particularly in the financial services or technology sectors.
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple third parties and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering business value.
